Grease is lubricating oil mixed with thickener into a paste. It acts like an oil-storing sponge, releasing oil slowly to lubricate parts when the machine runs.
1.Only 4 things to choose the right grease
Too thin: easy to leak
Too thick: not enough lubrication Normal bearings: No.2 (most common, medium hardness)
Low temperature & slow speed: No.1 (softer)
High temperature & strong vibration: No.3 (harder)
Central lubrication & gearboxes: No.0/00 (like yogurt, very thin)

2.Durability
The thickening ingredient in grease decides its durability.
For high-speed and long-running machines, choose more durable grease.
3.Oil thickness inside
Most of the grease is oil, and its thickness matters a lot:
Normal machines: medium thickness oil
Fast & light load: thin oil, less heat
Slow & heavy load: thick oil, better protection
4.Pressure resistance
The heavier and more shocking the machine, the stronger pressure resistance the grease needs.
Heavy machinery and often start-stop machines must use pressure-resistant grease.
