🚀 FODA BEARING Tapered Roller Bearing Pre-Lubrication & Setup 🛠️

Efficient pre-lubrication and correct installation of tapered roller bearings (core mechanical transmission components) are key to equipment efficiency and service life. This article outlines core steps for standardized operation.

I. Core Significance of Pre-Lubrication

Pre-lubrication: Fill the bearing with suitable grease before installation to form a lubricating film, reducing dry friction, preventing corrosion, improving stability and avoiding early wear.

II. Practical Steps for Efficient Pre-Lubrication

Follow the principles of “appropriate amount, uniformity and adaptability” with the following steps:

1. Cleaning: Thoroughly clean the bearing, journal and bearing housing to remove oil stains and impurities;

2. Grease selection: Choose lithium-based or extreme pressure grease according to the bearing’s working parameters, avoiding mismatched models;

3. Filling: Uniformly apply grease to the raceway and rolling elements, with the filling amount being 1/3~1/2 of the bearing’s internal space;

4. Auxiliary: Apply a thin layer of grease on the mating surfaces of the journal and bearing housing for easy installation.

III. Standard Installation Process

After pre-lubrication, operate in accordance with the following specifications to control clearance, force and coaxiality:

1. Inspection: Confirm that the bearing model matches, is free of damage, and the journal and bearing housing meet the fitting standards;

2. Installation: Use special tools to smoothly sleeve the bearing, and never strike it directly with a hammer;

3. Clearance adjustment: Adjust the clearance with nuts and gaskets to avoid being too tight or too loose;

4. Trial operation: Start with no load, observe no abnormal noise or heating, and put it into use after confirmation.
